In view of the delay problem with Roger Wilco, clearance delivery by Tower and congestion of Roger Wilco channels, Tower should follow the FAA standard about separation of traffic. After approach/ departure control handed off traffic to tower controller, tower controller should issue landing clearance as soon as possible. Tower controller should NOT ask pilots to " report 5 mile" etc. However, tower should still provide appropriate traffic advisory, eg. sequencing no.2 one departure (arrival) etc.
Kaoshiung Airport (RCKH) Rwy 09L-27R Rwy now rename to Rwy 09-27. Old name (Rwy 09L-27R) is no longer in use. All pilot and ATC should use the new name accordingly.
Taipei CKS International Airport (RCTP) Rwy 05L-23R completed renovation, now renamed Rwy 05-23. Old name of Rwy 05L-23R no longer in use. All pilots and ATC should use the new name accordingly. |
