Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network-R.O.C. Division About VATSIM-ROC VATSIM-ROC was formed by a group of flightsim enthusiasts. It's a succession of the former organisation SATROC after it join the new VATSIM (Virtual Air Traffic Simulation networl). Unlike those Virtual Airlines, we don't have a fleet of aircrafts, no missions for pilots every week. Our aim is to setup a real time ATC environment for flightsim pilots, enhance their enjoyment of the ProController and SquawkBox programs.Real Time ATC environment means when we're flying MS Flight Simulator, we can connect to a server to receive ATC instructions, that means we can interact with other people, not flying alone because there are many pilots and ATC controllers online, just the same as real-life. Once you online, your plane is controlled by ATC no matter where you are, at the same time, you can also receive other ATC message on the same frequency, in such busy virtual sky you're not flying alone! Just Like Real Life !! This is our goal. Today our server is connected to VATSIM (Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network) throughout the world. VATSIM is an global organization, they are setting up many SB/PC servers around the world. We are based in Taiwan and controlling the Taipei FIR, Hongkong FIR under a special partnership agreement and in future Mainland China FIR also. If your plane leaves our airspace, you can still be handled by ATC from other VATSIM division if such area is manned by ATC from other VATSIM division. Another aim of VATSIM-ROC is to provide training and VATSIM CID Certification for all Chinese people around the world. To join us, you need to download ProController 2.x and/or SquawkBox 2.x, we provide a server for you to use. No registraion fees, it's free!
